Website of the Week

Welcome! I took a few weeks off from this topic as life had kept me busy off line. However, I really enjoy our authors & sharing their sites with you. Perhaps these simple posts might assist you in discovering a new author to read and enjoy.

This week I’m showcasing my friend Missy Tippens. In addition to being a prolific author, Missy is a pastor’s wife, active in their church, mother, daughter, neighbor and friend. How does she possibly manage to fit all this in? When you visit her website, you’ll find that Missy is a joyful, energetic woman who places her trust in God.

Many of you will instantly recognize the person whom we’re spotlighting this week on Site of the Week. Award winning Margaret Daley has been one of my champions since I joined ACFW seven  years ago.

Margaret is an award winning, multi-published author in the romance genre. One of her romantic suspense books, Hearts on the Line, won the American Christian Fiction Writers’ Book of the Year Contest. Recently she has won the Golden Quill Contest, FHL’s Inspirational Readers’ Choice Contest, Winter Rose Contest, Holt Medallion and the Barclay Gold Contest. She wrote for various secular publishers before the Lord led her to the Christian romance market. She currently writes inspirational romance and romantic suspense books for the Steeple Hill Love Inspired lines, romantic suspense for Abingdon Press and historical romance for Summerside Press. She has sold over seventy-five books to date.

Margaret has served on the board of American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW), an organization of over 2200 members. She was one of the founding members of the first ACFW local chapter, WIN in Oklahoma. She has taught numerous classes for online groups, ACFW and RWA chapters. She enjoys mentoring other authors.

As writers, we find our inspiration in many areas of life. This week I would like to introduce Kristena Tunstall and her website. I’ll let Kristena share the inspiration behind her website and her writing. It’s a story which will touch many hearts.

The website is a dedication website in honor of my daughter. It is a way to remember a beautiful little angel who left for heaven at 8 ½ years old on July 16, 2008. My daughter was able to touch so many people’s lives. But the most amazing thing about it is she didn’t even know she was doing it. She had classic autism. So in all things on the site she is a constant reminder as I write. I am in the process of writing two books at the moment. One is nonfiction. It is taking Her Hospital Story, which I have posted on the site, and turning it into a full length book. The second book is fiction. It is about a woman who gets in a car accident with her husband and two daughters. When she wakes up she finds out she is the only survivor. The story will be about her grief journey and how God is taking care of us even if we don’t feel it or see it in that moment.

Do you love Cozies? I do.  An author whom I’ve recently discovered is Catherine Leggitt, the creator of “Payne & Misery,” “The Dunn Deal,” and “Parrish the Thought.” Catherine caught my attention with her residing sleuth Christine Sterling. At fifty-five and recently retired, Christine has more time on her hands than she knows what to do with and a never-ending curiosity. Accompanying her on her adventures is Mollie, Christine’s Border Collie. Together they sniff out clues and stay on the trail.

Author Camy Tang

Camy has been one of my favorite authors for several years now. In fact, I can recall the debut of her first book, “Sushi for One?”  which came out in 2007. In addition to being a terrific writer, Camy’s blog captures her enjoyment in Bible study, crafts, cooking, and so much more. Treat yourself and visit Camy’s website and blog today.
